Werregue baskets, crafted with gold and black thread by the Woounan indigenous communities of the Colombian Pacific coast, are made using a natural fiber from the native Werregue palm. Employing a coiling and stitching technique, they create a variety of baskets, many of which feature modern designs adorned with eye-catching figures, making each piece a dream of exclusivity. These baskets are among the earliest creations of the Woounan culture, originally used for transporting water and food. Today, they are exquisite decorative pieces that add a touch of elegance to any space.
