Casa Chiqui is a reflection of Chiqui de Echavarría’s passion for extraordinary treasures and artisanal design. Inspired by her travels through Indonesia, Morocco, India, and Mexico, she has curated a unique collection of handcrafted pieces from around the world.
What began as treasures collected for her family home grew into Casa Chiqui, a boutique housed in a beautifully restored 1930s building in Cartagena’s Historic Center. Today, it invites visitors to discover a world of craftsmanship, culture, and timeless beauty.
Casa Chiqui’s exclusive jewelry and accessories blend Chiqui’s global inspirations with the art and spirit of Cartagena. Designed by Chiqui and handcrafted in Colombia, each piece celebrates the country’s rich artisanal heritage.
Working with 94 artisans from Indigenous and rural communities, many of them women supporting their families, Chiqui brings ancestral techniques and natural fibers to life through distinctive contemporary designs.
From Wayuu weaving to the intricate pintas of caña flecha, every creation honors Colombia’s cultural traditions while helping preserve the skills and communities that keep them alive.

I have always been a passionate traveler, drawn to unique treasures and exceptional craftsmanship. From the markets of Asia to the villages of Latin America, my journeys have inspired a lifelong collection of extraordinary finds.
Born on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, Cartagena has always been home to my heart. More than thirty years ago, my husband and I opened our home to friends, travelers, and kindred spirits. That same welcoming spirit inspired me to create Casa Chiqui: a home away from home where the extraordinary is always waiting to be discovered.
Alongside treasures from around the world, Casa Chiqui celebrates Colombia’s remarkable artisans. Inspired by their traditional materials and techniques, I eventually created my own line of jewelry and accessories, blending ancestral craftsmanship with fresh, contemporary ideas.
