Werregue container with golden lines – 41 cm

This basket, featuring a vertical design, is crafted by the Woounan indigenous communities of the Colombian Pacific coast. Using a natural fiber from the native Werregue palm, they employ a unique coiling and stitching technique to create a variety of products. These baskets are among the earliest creations of the Woounan culture, originally used for transporting water and food. Today, they are exquisite decorative pieces that add a touch of elegance to any space.
