Black werregue container – 49 cm

This black basket, crafted by the Woounan indigenous communities of the Colombian Pacific coast, uses a natural fiber from the native Werregue palm. Employing a coiling and stitching technique, they create a variety of products, many of which feature modern designs adorned with eye-catching figures, making each item a dream of exclusivity. These baskets are among the earliest creations of the Woounan culture, originally used for transporting water and food.
