Handcrafted werregue fiber container made by the Wounaan indigenous community, located on the Colombian Pacific coast. Werregue containers represent the ancestral culture of the Wounaan people, and each piece reflects the identity of the artisan who creates it, a process that can take up to three months. The indigenous people weave the werregue fiber, which comes from a spiny palm tree that can reach up to 200 meters in height. Weaving this fiber is a true art form, and through it, they can produce a variety of products with modern designs and figures representative of the Wounaan culture. Owning a werregue container is to possess a dreamlike and exclusive decorative piece that adds a touch of perfection to any space.
