A Talavera ceramic bowl, handcrafted from ceramic, has historically been used for washing, preparing food, kneading dough, and various other household tasks. This type of ceramic bowl is typically large in shape. Talavera pottery is a distinctive art form brought to Mexico from Spain. Later, artisans in Puebla, Mexico, incorporated their own designs, creating the blue and white oyster patterns traditionally associated with Talavera Poblana. Today, more contemporary designs are also available, including yellow, green, orange, mauve, black, and red.
