Bëtsknaté Mask – 26 Cm

Mask of the Bëtsknaté or Carnival of Forgiveness, handcrafted by expert artisans from the Sibundoy Valley in Putumayo. Hand-carved from willow wood and then decorated with Czech seed beads, these masks reflect the traditions of the Inga and Kamentsá communities. They typically feature expressions related to emotions such as happiness, sadness, doubt, and amazement, among others. Furthermore, through the blend of colors and the designs created with the beads, they often tell personal or collective stories.
