Talavera ceramic washbasin

Oval-shaped washbasin, hand-painted in the traditional Mexican Talavera style. Talavera is a distinctive art form brought to Mexico from Spain. Artisans in Puebla, Mexico, then incorporated their own designs, creating the blue and oyster-white patterns traditionally associated with Talavera Poblana. Today, more contemporary designs are also available, including yellow, green, orange, mauve, black, and red.
